Viper Imaging LeakFindIR for Industry

Viper is pleased to announce broadened capabilities for industrial gas leak detection. Viper’s complete line of solutions solve a host of problems that exist in today’s heavy industrial environments. Gas leaks and fugitive emissions can occur as a result of aging assets, corrosion, mechanical failure and other factors.

The problems companies face are solved with the new LeakFindIR series of both fixed and portable optical gas imaging (OGI) cameras with integrated ViperOptic software. ViperOptic provides remote gas detection at leak point – not after dilution in air. It can alarm and will colorize the “cloud” and quantify the mass flow rate of the leak.

Viper LeakFindIR products include both fixed monitoring systems and portable detectors. Both fixed and portable OGI systems are rated for hazardous areas and come equipped with the impressive ViperOptic software. ViperOptic software integrates with our Viper LeakfindIR series of fixed and portable thermal cameras, as well as the FLIR G300a and GF320 cameras.

Fixed: LeakFindIR Monitor
Continuous monitoring provides immediate notification of a gas leak. It is ideal for remote areas or zones with difficult accessibility, such as offshore oil platforms, well sites, natural gas processing facilities, and critical pipeline crossings. To maximize the camera field of view, pan/tilt mounting is available. A Methane Laser can be installed to expand

Portable: LeakFindIR Inspect
For handheld leak detection, we offer both cooled and uncooled portable thermal imagers. Well-suited for natural gas well sites, chemical processing plants, gas pipelines and storage facilities – the LeakFindIR series provides convenience with the same detection and quantification capabilities of ViperOptic software which is embedded in the camera.

Gas sniffers are also an option for portable detection. These non-imaging gas detectors can be connected to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. They are available in four specific formats: Methane (CH4), Propane (C3H8), Carbon Dioxide (C02), and Methane and Ethane (CH4+C2H6).
