Net Zero Teesside Power, Northern Endurance Partnership and EPC Contractors Promote Supply Chain Opportunities at Energy Industries Council Event

Representatives of Net Zero Teesside Power (NZT Power), The Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) and a selection of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors recently took to the stage at the Energy Industries Council’s (EIC) “Opportunities in Teesside” event to promote the supply chain requirements for the c.£4bn (USD 5.3bn) construction contracts related to the projects.

Representatives from supply chain companies across the region were given an update on the project and offered the opportunity to engage 1:1 with a selection of the EPC contractors – Balfour Beatty, Technip Energies and Costain.

The net zero transition represents a transformative economic opportunity for Teesside, with NZT Power set to create and support over 3,000 construction jobs and approximately 1,000 operational roles annually until 2050. These efforts are helping redefine Teesside’s industrial legacy, ensuring the region remains at the forefront of sustainable innovation while contributing to the UK’s ambitious net-zero goals by 2050. The project announced financial close and entry into the execution phase in December 2024.
