Alfa Laval Breaks Ground on New Innovation Centre in Lund to Accelerate Technologies Supporting Global Energy Transition

Alfa Laval has officially broken ground on the Gunnesbo Innovation Centre in Lund, Sweden. This strategic investment marks a major step in Alfa Laval’s commitment to developing heat transfer technologies that will help drive the global energy transition. Scheduled for completion in 2027, the new state-of-the-art facility represents a significant milestone in Alfa Laval’s long-term commitment to develop solutions for emerging applications.

The new centre will strengthen Alfa Laval’s Research & Development capabilities to support energy efficiency and develop heat transfer technologies, fuel cells, and electrolyzer components – critical solutions for applications such as hydrogen, carbon capture, long-duration energy storage, and renewable fuels.
