Nu:ionic Technologies (Canada), Inc. (“Nu:ionic”) has achieved a significant product development milestone with the completion of a continuous 48-hour demonstration run of its proprietary Microwave Catalytic Reformer(TM) (MCR).

In this article, the result from a process simulation of an amine process is disclosed together with various experiences aligning with selecting the most appropriate pumps in respect to their hydraulic performance, corrosion resistance, and mechanical sealing system for this application.

This includes using the best available technical solutions, introduction of emission cleaning systems, proper waste management plans, high efficiency in use of power and water, and more.

The project will use ammonia as a vector for transporting hydrogen globally, developing a novel Ammonia cracker and purification technology to convert ammonia to hydrogen.

Under the agreement, MHI will license its "Advanced KM CDR Process™", CO2 capture technology developed in collaboration with the Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., and also provide the process design package (PDP) for the new post combustion CO2 capture plant.
