Transocean Spitsbergen to Drill for Two Licences

Equinor has, on behalf of the Haltenbanken West Unit and Halten East licences, awarded Transocean Spitsbergen a firm drilling programme consisting of nine wells and options for another two.

FET Delivers Two Additional Work-Class ROVs to Oceanica

Forum Energy Technologies has delivered two work-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) sales to Brazilian marine engineering company Oc to support its deepwater intervention operations and strengthen its offering to the energy sector.The systems were manufactured at FET’s UK facility at Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire and delivered in the first half of 2022.FET supplied two Perry XLX-C work-class ROV systems, both designed to deliver high performance in challenging subsea environments adding fresh capability to the Oceanica fleet.The 3,000m rated compact 200HP XLX-C delivers high performance in a small form factor.

CenterPoint Launches Green Hydrogen Project

CenterPoint Energy announced that its green hydrogen project in Minneapolis is operational. The project uses renewable electricity to safely split hydrogen from water, and the zero-carbon hydrogen is then blended at low concentrations with natural gas in the utility's local distribution system.CenterPoint Energy is one of the first natural gas utilities in the United States to produce and add green hydrogen to its distribution system.

Horisont Energi Signs a MoU with Lhyfe

Horisont Energi, a clean energy and carbon transport and storage services provider, and Lhyfe, a world pioneer and pure player in renewable green hydrogen, announce they have entered a memorandum of understanding for the joint development of green ammonia-producing plants in Europe fed by green hydrogen plants.Horisont Energi has already entered into a cooperation agreement with Equinor and Vår Energi for the development of Barents Blue, Europe’s first large-scale production facility for blue ammonia located in Finnmark in Northern Norway.
