Emerson’s 2021 ASCO Engineering Scholarship Program

Emerson reminds U.S. college students to apply, by May 31, to its 2021 ASCO Engineering Scholarship Program.

The merit-based scholarships reward excellence in education and service, and the potential for leadership and contributions to the engineering, instrumentation, systems, and automation professions. In its 14th year, the scholarship program is a key part of Emerson’s strong commitment to supporting quality, accessible STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and experience to students from elementary school to university.

Emerson will award two scholarship packages in 2021, each consisting of a $5,000 scholarship and a $1,000 grant to each recipient’s college engineering department for research support. The recipients may also be eligible for an Emerson internship.

The scholarship is open to U.S. citizens and legal U.S. residents. Among the requirements, applicants must have completed their sophomore year in a bachelor’s degree program or be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited U.S. educational institution at the time of application.

To date, the company has distributed $156,000 in ASCO Engineering Scholarships and grants, supporting 26 outstanding U.S. engineering students and their colleges.
