Expansion Continues for Alliance: Acquires EMSI

Alliance Technical Group (“Alliance”) has completed its 9th add-on acquisition with the purchase of EMSI, one of the nation’s largest Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) providers. EMSI will join the rapidly expanding Alliance division known as Alliance Emissions Monitoring (“AEM”).

The addition of EMSI is an important growth investment for Alliance, which continues to actively build its premier emissions monitoring platform to complement its best-in-class source testing and analytical services, groups. Strategically, EMSI bolsters Alliance’s national presence and provides increased capabilities to effectively and efficiently respond to corporate–wide, complex emissions monitoring projects. The partnership also increases the range of monitoring and inspection services that Alliance is able to provide its customers.

Paul Phillips, President of EMSI, said, “Becoming part of Alliance allows EMSI access to resources, technology, and personnel that will enhance our employee and customer growth opportunities. Our combined team will have the largest resource base in the country and a uniquely singular focus on providing customers with unparalleled compliance, service, and support.”

The combination creates a strong nationwide footprint with coast–to–coast operations, more than 700 employees, and a broad base of technical expertise to serve a diverse range of end markets.

“This investment is a great complement to our industry-leading service offering and strengthens the breadth of services Alliance offers to our rapidly expanding customer base. Adding EMSI to our AEM group is a perfect fit, and as we continue looking for opportunities to enter complementary markets, our primary focus is finding companies who fit nicely with our commitment to excellence, technology, and customer service – all key elements of “The Alliance Advantage,” noted Alliance CEO Chris LeMay.

In February, Alliance also completed its first add-on acquisition of 2021 and eighth overall with the purchase of Aeros Environmental, Inc. (“Aeros”) located in Bakersfield, California. Aeros provides source emission testing (stack testing) and laboratory analytical services to customers throughout the Western United States.
