ION Begins Installing Solar Panels at the Solar Park in Morro Do Boa Vista

The Niterói Infrastructure and Works Company (ION) has begun installing sets of panels for the future photovoltaic plant at the Solar Park in Morro do Boa Vista, located in the São Lourenço neighborhood, in the North Zone of the city.

The project envisages the implementation of a solar plant in the region, with the installation of hundreds of panels with solar modules arranged in a line along the slope, which will generate around 150 thousand kW/h of power.

In addition to capturing solar energy, the park will feature a system for collecting, storing, and utilizing rainwater. The stored water will be used to clean the solar panels, irrigate seedlings, and, if necessary, fight fires.

With an investment of R$7.7 million, the works are expected to be completed in September of this year.
