Baker Hughes, one of the world’s largest oilfield service providers, is newly independent from General Electric (GE), officially changing its name and its traditionally blue logo, to green.
As of September 30th, the company is sporting the new color, to symbolize the new spirit and purpose of Baker Hughes – to move the energy sector forward, making it safer for both people and the planet. The company’s name changed from Baker Hughes, a GE Company, to Baker Hughes Co. on October 17.
The new green logo will be added to company buildings globally over the next year. Field workers will receive green-colored overalls and hard hats with the double-arrow logo. The company is also planning a billboard and advertising campaign to create public awareness of the change.
