The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) has announced the OnBase DEP Upload Form for applicants to transfer permit application data to PADEP electronically. Online submission means that these permit applications can be moved between PADEP staff more easily as COVID-19 has limited the accessibility of physical workplaces.
When a permit application is submitted through the Upload Form, PADEP performs a quality assurance (QA) review. If there are issues with the submission package, the applicant will receive a notification indicating corrective changes are needed. The permit application can then be resubmitted after changes are made. After the QA Review, a more detailed Program Review is conducted, resulting in Approval or Rejection of said permit.
