Range Resources Pledges Zero-emissions Future

Range Resources announced the company’s emission reduction goal in its first Corporate Sustainability Report. The report highlights its accomplishments over the past ten years reducing greenhouse gas emissions and set ambitious zero-emissions targets.
There has been no timeline released on when the targets will be achieved. However the report does marks the progress Range has already made, including a comprehensive leak detection and repair (LDAR) program to enhanced emissions capture and control on drilling sites. It also includes a reduction in the number of vehicles on a drilling site and a robust system for water recycling.

Changes to Range;s production of natural gas have led to an 8% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions so far. Methane emissions were 0.051 percent of natural gas production in 2018, according to the report.
