Aemetis Awarded USD$14M in Energy Efficiency Grants
Aemetis, Inc announced that its subsidiary Aemetis Advanced Fuels Keyes, Inc. has received two grants for a combined total of USD $14M from the California Energy Commission to implement upgrades that would reduce natural gas use, lower greenhouse gas emissions, decrease operating costs and reduce the carbon intensity (CI) of fuel-grade ethanol produced at the Keyes plant.
DOE Awards $25M to Improve Natural Gas Operations
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and NETL have selected 16 projects to receive nearly USD $25 million in federal funding for cost-shared projects to advance natural gas infrastructure technology development.
The NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE
The NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE is a global initiative, operated by the XPRIZE Foundation, designed to accelerate new technologies by converting carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from industrial facilities for electricity generation and oil & gas production into new and useful products.The competition is structured as a two-track prize, with the new technologies tested at either a coal power plant or a natural gas power plant.
$1M Grant to Harris Country for Air Monitoring Upgrades
The American Chemistry Council Foundation, TCC, ECHMA, and ACC has awarded a USD $1 Million grant to Harris County to further enhance the region’s air monitoring capabilities.The grant is for specific uses by the county that were negotiated between industry and Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia.
